I invite spiritual, existential, and philosophical motivators in my work with clients. I have a specialty in existential crises, self identity, meaning, major depression, family conflict, anxiety, OCD, and prolonged grief. My background is in both Eastern & Western perspectives including existential self-inquiry. I utilize a treatment integration of philosophy, psychoanalysis, and relational psychotherapy in my work with adults, adolescents, and children.
I am a doctorate student and psychoanalyst candidate. My focus is on engaging the deeper layers of the psyche as to realize a particular interconnectedness. Life lessons are not always linear, working through the fragments of life experience that arise, clients realize repetitive patterns as past derivatives.
The process of treatment focuses on the "science of the unconscious" to work through the root of symptoms and reactional responses. Insight brings about the awareness of patterns, to then find restoration in the process of treatment through a consistent, therapeutic dynamic. Knowledge attained in therapy is a result of one's own self-reflectiveness. Allowing life to be the teacher, one is thus given the power to break through limiting conditions.
I offer an invitation for the pondering of one's own life experience and how relationships have impacted particular degrees of self-understanding. As to recognize the words of the Greek philosopher Heraclitus in which, "all things change" yet also considering the repetitive nature of the life cycle; Parmenides evokes an unchanging wholeness.
I utilize in-depth, insight-oriented methods, including object relations, and psychoanalysis for individuals with multiple presenting conditions.
I offer family therapy for parent and child dynamics, single parents, and blended family units. Including children & families effected by divorce, grief, and loss.
